Peer Review Policy

Armaghan is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic quality, research integrity, and publication ethics. Every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure originality, scholarly merit, methodological soundness, and relevance to the aims and scope of the journal.

Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, each manuscript is first reviewed by the Editorial Office to determine whether it falls within the scope of the journal and complies with the journal's submission guidelines, formatting requirements, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the author for revision or declined without external review.

Double-Blind Peer Review

All manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent experts in the relevant field for double-blind peer review. In this process, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and impartiality.

Review Criteria

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts on the basis of:

  • Originality and significance of the research
  • Relevance to the journal's aims and scope
  • Quality of literature review and theoretical framework
  • Soundness of research methodology
  • Analysis and interpretation of findings
  • Academic writing quality and organization
  • Accuracy of references and citations
  • Overall contribution to knowledge

Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief may make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revisions
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Major revisions required
  • Reject

The final publication decision rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief.

Revision Process

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers' comments and submit a revised version within the specified time. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.

Confidentiality

All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Editors and reviewers shall not disclose, discuss, copy, or use any unpublished material without the author's written permission.

Publication Ethics

Armaghan follows internationally accepted principles of publication ethics and is committed to prevent plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, and other forms of research misconduct. Manuscripts found to violate ethical standards may be rejected or withdrawn at any stage of the publication process.

Conflict of Interest

Editors, reviewers, and authors are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that may influence the review or publication process.

Peer Review Timeline

The journal aims to complete the peer-review process within 4–8 weeks; however, the review period may vary depending on the availability of expert reviewers and the nature of the manuscript.
