Short story: A New Dimension in Fiction

 The shortest story (Flash Fiction, Afsancha , Micro Fiction, etc.) is a new genre in Urdu Fiction, which came in Urdu after the evolutionary journey of fiction, Fable Story (Dastan), Novel, Novella and Short story(Afsana). Like many other genres of Urdu, this genre is imported from abroad. In terms of form, it is much shorter than Short Story(Afsana), but in addition to its brevity, it is also full of unity of impression and fictive . Its beginning in Urdu is "Saadat Hassan Manto" wrote " Seya Hashaye" in October 1948. He was followed by Joginder Pal Singh, Dr. MuzaffarHanafi, DH Shah, Ratan Singh, Dr. AzeemRahi, Abbas Kan, ManshaYada, ParvezBulgrami, Anwar Rahim, Dr. AkhlaqGilani, Deepak Badki, QaiserNazirKhawer, Mubashir Ali Zaidi, SyedMajid Shah and others. Played an important role in strengthening the tradition of this genre. But now the shortest stories of about a hundreds authors have been published in various books, magazines and newspapers and its creation and popularity is increasing day by day.
