Abstract

Children's literature refers to the literature that has been created purely for children in terms of language, expression, and interest. In Urdu literature, Amir Khusrau's "Khaliq Bari", popular poet Nazir Akbarabadi's poems for children, and Mirza Ghalib's "Qadir Nama" are the first impressions. Hasan Abidi's collection includes his poems on early friends of Sindh province. Poems and stories written for nine- and eleven-year-old children are more educational than mental exercises for children. Their roles as farmers, cobblers, tailors, potters, and carpenters through which society is built are highlighted. Poems and stories based on the message of patriotism, and cultural harmonymawaken the feelings of national service in children.
