Abstract

Ghulam Muhammad Qasir (4Sep, 1944-20 Feb, 1999) was a Pakistani Famous Poet. He is known of the modern poet of Urdu Ghazal, Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi introduced him in literary journal called "Fanoon" in 1977. In this Year his Famous poetry collection named "Tasalsul" appeared in urdu world and warmly accepted by urdu critics. After this in 1988, (An anthology of poetry)

"Aathwaan Aasman bhi neela hai" shown in literary world and became a introduction of him owing to his specific language and style. In 1997,"Darya-e-Guman"another poetry collection became an introduction to him, because in his lyrics he adopted the new pattern by using his observations about domination of power. He also changed his angle in poetry specialy in urdu ghazal by avoiding the conventional methed, his lyrics and never rotates around “beloved” he never seems defined in a circle of love. Basic facilities deficiency in his area, social problems and oppression of thoughts are the main theme of his Urdu ghazal. From first to last poetry collection he never loses his sublime thoughts nor a decline of style.
